Getting a bit more personal…

About 10 years ago I came to the realization that my life was not where I wanted it to be – personally or professionally. My energy was always focused on what was wrong with my life, how I ended up there, and feeling sorry for myself. Throughout my life, I always believed that hard work would lead to success, wealth, and happiness. Period. And boy did I work hard over the years!

But something was missing.

Early on in my career, I learned how to play the game at the unfortunate cost of often needing to pretend to be someone other than who I really was. And somewhere along the way, what started out as my “why” – helping organizations recognize and internalize that people are their most important resource, and understanding that their business cannot be successful without respecting and effectively managing this resource – began to dissolve. As the years went on, this internal misalignment led to a lot of stress, discontentment, and apathy in many aspects of my life. But after some deep soul-searching and coaching, I became aware that my “why” was missing. So I decided to find it.

Once I made this shift, I resumed my mission to help organizations leverage the power of their technology, human resources, and partners to become industry leaders. Looking back, I’ve realized that my most inspiring moments were those where I witnessed personal growth, connection, collaboration, and achievement across teams who were fully empowered to perform at their best. These experiences, paired with my passion for helping others to be successful, led me to coaching.
